A Maker's Town on the River
Long before the galleries arrived, Beacon lived by its hats: around fifty factories through the 1800s made it the Hat Making Capital of the US, and that making spirit never really left. Every late September, Spirit of Beacon Day fills Main Street with a parade and vendors, the streets busy the way they have been for generations. Down at Pete and Toshi Seeger Riverfront Park, the Beacon Sloop Club marks the turning seasons with its Strawberry, Corn, and Pumpkin festivals in June, August, and October. From the riverfront park to the storefronts on Main Street, this is a town that likes to be together outdoors.
From the plaster rooms of century-old homes to the clean drywall of the new builds near the water, Beacon holds an unusual span of surfaces under one small city. We handle interiors and exteriors, bring tired kitchen cabinets back to life, and paint the commercial spaces that keep Main Street busy. We like a place that takes this much pride in how it looks, and we try to match that pride, one wall at a time.
